Our first album was released on Level-Plane in June 2004 and reissued by Deathwish in 2014. It marked the beginning of our journey and holds a special place in our history and hearts. Unfortunately, the drums were buried in the original mix and the album didn’t quite portray an accurate representation of Coliseum at that time. Now, twenty years after its original release, I have remixed the album in the hopes of shining a light on the entire band, particularly our original drummer, my cousin Matt Jaha, who passed away in April 2020.
Now that Coliseum is back after a nearly nine-year hiatus, it’s even more poignant and important to give this special album a new 20th anniversary remix, remaster, and reissue. It will again feature John Dyer Baizley’s wonderful interpretation of the original cover art. Huge thanks for Dan and Equal Vision Records for their support and hard work on this project. It will be released on Nov. 21, 2024.
We are also overjoyed to announce our return to Europe! In the short time we have available, we will be coming to select cities in Europe, Scandinavia, and the UK in Nov./Dec. Massive love to Alex and Swamp Booking for encouraging us to make this tour happen.
