DERBY CITY ROLLERGIRLS ANNOUNCE 2008 SEASON
Louisville, KY – The Kentucky Exposition Center will never be the same once the Derby City Rollergirls break down the doors to unleash the 2008 season upon the great city of Louisville. Saturday February 2nd will find DCRG waging roller derby war against Evansville’s Rollergirls of Southern Indiana.
Billed as Love Hurts, this battle of the borders will not only mark the beginning of DCRG’s 2nd season and a much anticipated move to The Kentucky Exposition Center, it will also be the beginning of a new era for DCRG with a unified league. Anticipate a leaner, meaner, roller derby machine when DCRG hits the floor in 2008!
The Derby City Roller Girls 2008 season will take place over (2) 3-month phases. The first half begins in February and will follow the subsequent schedule:
Saturday, February 2nd, Love Hurts, DCRG vs. Rollergirls of Southern Indiana (Evansville, IN)
Saturday, March 22nd, Southern Hostility, DCRG vs. Blue Ridge Rollergirls (Asheville, NC)
Saturday, April 5th, A Tale Of Terror, DCRG vs. Cincinnati Rollergirls (Cincinnati, OH)
All bouts for the 2008 Season will be held at The Kentucky Exposition Center’s West Wing located at 937 Phillips Lane, Louisville KY. Tickets for each bout will be $12 pre-event and $15 at the door. Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster locations, ticketmaster.com, and at the KEC Ticket office located at the east side of Freedom Hall.
As always, DCRG’s After Parties are the place to be… The Monkey Wrench will host the DCRG after party following every bout in 2008. The Monkey Wrench is located at 1025 Barret Avenue
