For any of you that may have missed out on picking up Endpoint merch during the reunion weekend, Shirtkiller is ready to hook you up. They have the American Apparel tri-blend shirts pictured here for you to stage dive in – as well as feel good in because all of the money (sans shipping of course) is going to Jason Noble, just as if you bought one at the show.

Nixon s/t digital re-release!

Check this out, the Nixon s/t was one of the best records to ever come out of this town, no joke. I didn’t write the below text, so don’t bug me about calling them a metal band.

Nixon’s Self-Titled Release Reissued Digitally; First in Series of Digital Reissues

Little Heart Records forms new series of releases based on broken up Louisville acts

One of the worst kept secrets in Little Heart Records history has been their intent to start an imprint or series of out of pint Louisville records. Names and acts have been batted around for months, and it’s finally been decided: Now is the time.

Kicking off the line is the defunct metal band Nixon. Their self-titled debut is once again available, this time digitally, with an unreleased EP’s worth of additional tracks. The four songs, originally intended to be released independently, have only been heard by a handful of people close to the band, and being included here brings the total track listing to 17 songs.

Singer Matt Haas has been integral to putting this project together, piecing together all of the material and tracking down the files neccessary to make this release a reality.

Upon it’s original release the record was well received, including a french review that described the music as having “well hung testicles.” Describing the sound of the band can only be best described by guitarist Doug Walker, who said the following in a good-bye letter on the band’s MySpace: “I know, for myself, this band was an incredibly special thing. It was the exact music we wanted to play, exactly how we wanted to play it. No formulas, no rules, no method, just ‘Oh man…that sounded fuckin’ buadd… do it again.'”

In the coming weeks Little Heart Records will be announcing their next release in the series.

Available on iTunes for the low price of $9.99, Nixon (Digital Special Edition with Bonus Tracks) is available now. It can also be found on most major digital download sites. A link to iTunes can be found here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/nixon-digital-special-edition/id369850018

Endpoint Weekend photos/video

If you know of any public caches of Endpoint weekend photos or videos, hit me up via the contact page, twitter dm, facebook message, or message board (if you want more options, I guess you could also come by my house in a scary mask at 3 am). I’d really like to do a huge post linking to all the photos and videos that I can. Thanks.

Endpoint Weekend events

I’m sure that if you’ve had your eyes and ears open lately, you know the next few days will be packed (CJ article). Here’s a (kinda-current) rundown of just about everything happening this weekend:

Endpoint, Sunspring, Big Wheel reunionsFriday –

Endpoint/Sunspring/Big Wheel/Shedding – 7pm @ Headliner’s (tickets may still be available). Proceeds go to Jason Noble, and Mark Brickey’s EP poster will be available, as will (likely) Rise: The Kinghorse Tribute Compilation.

Post-Endpoint show @ Lisa’s Oak St. with Centipede E’est (Pittsburgh), Ampire. $3, starts whenever EP is done.

Endpoint, Cerebellum, Face Value reunion showSaturday –

Straight A’s – free in-store @ Ear X-tacy at 4pm to support their new Noise Pollution release entitled “Self Help” (12″/CD)

Endpoint/Face Value/Cerebellum/Interstates – 7pm @ Headliner’s (tickets maybe available on the forums or craigslist). Keep in mind that Mark Brickey’s posters will be on sale, as well as the new Cerebellum 12″ AND Rise: The Kinghorse Tribute Compilation. All of which are top-notch (excluding usage of flange pedals). Bring $$$ and remember that all of this will be sending money to Jason Noble’s cancer treatments and recovery.

For those not aware, Cerebellum will be playing a second reunion show in support of the aforementioned Noise Pollution release on July 31st @ Skull Alley. More information sure to come.

Frontier(s), Open Fields afterpartyFrontier(s)/Open Fields – EP show afterparty @ Zanzabar on Preston St. 11pm, $3. – Frontier(s) will be playing a song from one of their former bands, which could be any of the following or more – Falling Forward, Elliott, Stay Gold, Champion, Mouthpiece, Automatic.. I don’t feel like listing the rest and those are the more likely candidates anyway.

Sunday –

Duncan Barlow will be signing his novel Super Cell Anemia. Carmichael’s Books at 2720 Frankfort Ave. 4pm.

And then at 6pm, Endpoint, Coliseum, and Straight A’s will be playing at Skull Alley. It’ll be $5. And it’ll probably be tight for space. Get there on time, your not-so-fashionably late ass will likely be left on the street.

If there’s anything that I’m missing, be sure to hit the contact page and let me know!!!
